Year 2000 Compliance for Leutron Vision Switzerland
Leutron Vision Switzerland has reviewed
its internal computer systems and believes they are capable of processing
transactions relating to the year 2000 and beyond. To the best of its knowledge,
the company does not have any material exposure to contingencies related
to year 2000 issues for its products. In addition, Leutron Vision has initiated
communications with its significant suppliers and customers to determine
their Y2K preparedness. The company continues to review the impact of Y2K
issues and does not believe that year 2000 related expenses will have an
impact on its business.
Year 2000 Statement for our Products
Leutron Vision's products' including our
PC based software libraries, device drivers and embedded software are Year
2000 compliant, as defined below. Leutron Visions's products are
passive when it comes to handling dates, meaning that none of our software
products directly perform calculations on or processes date data in a way
which might affect or change that data. However the operating system on
which the products are installed may not be Year 2000 compliant.
Definition of Year 2000 Compliance
A Year 2000 Compliant product from
Leutron Vision will not, on its own, produce errors or unpredictable behaviour
handling date data in connection with the year change from December 31,
1999 to January 1, 2000, when used in accordance with the appropriate documentation,
provided all other products (e.g. other software and hardware), used with
it, properly exchange date data with the Leutron Vision product. Year 2000
Compliance also includes handling the year 2000 as a leap year.
